The MakerSpace Movement Has Hit Goshen!
Our MakerSpace is a place for students to build creative, collaboration and problem solving skills related to science, technology, engineering, art and math. Students in grades 2-5 will be making use of this space in small groups during their enrichment block.
One of our goals in creating this spot is to blend the ideas of library literacies and science making and tinkering. Libraries have long been thought of as places to access information. Through the creation of a Library MakerSpace, we hope to change the image of the library as not only a place to find the answers to questions, but a place to develop models and solve problems, especially those related to science, engineering and technology. |
